"In the hollow of the hand" (1997)

This exhibition was prepared in an unusual space, that is not a traditional gallery, but it was the hall of a theatre named “Piccolo Teatro di Bari”, in my town. It’s like a passage way not specifically for the visual art, an unintentional fixed course of contact traced out with the artistic work.

Description

"Effetto Braille" (1997)

Effetto Braille represents an attempt of mutation of the poetic subject in a meta-language. The intent is to overcome the inflated and fragile sheet of paper with a passage from two to three dimensions. In this way, the poetry is widened, and so it escapes to the canonical writing, changing forms and states and making it lead, an artistic work with high specific weight. Broken down mirrors, water diviner pendulum, verses in metal and eggs of poem try to guide also the imprudent "not seeing" to the discovery a parallel universe.

Description

"Carcasse" (1998)

“CARCASSE” is a complicated installation based on some insertion and wild assemblings of wrecks and parts of out-of-use things, old electrical household appliances, unused manikins, daily waste revalued by the art just to create “carcasses”, not only in a technical sense but with a larger meaning, as an attempt to stop some moments of tragic present realism.

"N.M.: Necessario Minimo" (1999)

A wall of about six square metres prepared like a memory store, a post-atomic shelter where memories and things remain, togheter with pieces of emotions and fragments of words. A two-parts’ sampled sound completes my creation, where in the first part there’s my positive voice which recites some verse using three different tones and timbres, as though there were three different readers. In the second part there’s my natural timbre of voice, but perfectly on the reverse, like a new language with strange sounds.

In this work I started from a photographic report carried out into a warehouse of warsurplus, specially military jet-planes, using photography as a cover, as a pudding, not as an individual work.
