Art Director * Visual Merchandiser * Designer

Alfio Cangiani is born in Bari in "1960"; currently, he's alternating his job as advertising graphic, visual merchandiser and designer with the activity of poet and visual artist.

As a  grafic, he has created and/or contributed to the consolidation of the coordinated image of different firms, following the development with consultations such as the creation of the mark and the brochure, the planning of fair's stands, the advertising placard and the packaging of new products.

As a visual merchandiser, he has taken care of the preparation of the shop-windows for various chains of shop in franchising, contributing to the development of an uniform image for all the sales points.

He's collaborating with chains of shops and private persons about the preparation and renovation of the exposure inside the sales point, creating special schemes of exposure and ways of optimization of the sales.

As a designer, he has created several collections of female dresses, sportswear, intimate, furriery and jewelry.

In the field of the furnishing he attended to pieces of furniture as complements and to some systems of sitting, taking care of the projects, from the ideation up to the last phases of the prototype, production an marketing.

About poetry, he has been selected in Bologna, in the ambit of "Tendencias 1988", and he is present in the anthology titled "Il grande blu, il grande nero" (The big blue, the big black), Transeuropa ed., 1998, as well as in that one attached to the ns. 7 and 8 of the "Escamotage" magazine.

His poetries and stories have been published in the magazines titled "Temporali", "Aube Magazine", "Escamotage", "Spartivento", "Versodove", "Campimagnetici", "Il bosco delle noci". His verse has been translated into english and french.

He has been the organizer of some performances, readings and reviews of poetry ("In ordine sparso" - in open order -, Bari, 1989, "Poeti d'assalto" - poets of assault -, Bari, 1990, "Interventi poetici" - poetic interventions -, Bari, 1998, "Fragile a dirsi" - fragile to say -, Bari, 1999; "Corto Circuito", Roxette Art-Jazz Bari 1999), also participating in similar demostrations in Milan and Bologna ("Made in BO", 1990)

During the season 1996-1997 he has been the artistic manager of the foyer of a local theatre named "Piccolo Teatro di Bari".

Since 1990 he also attend to visual art.
